Meet Juan Tafolla

Juan L. Tafolla is a community leader and elected official for Kennett Square, serving currently as Councilmember-elect in Kennett Square, PA.  A proud Kennett Square native of Hispanic descent, Juan has gone through the Kennett education system and witnessed the town’s growth over the past two decades. Becoming the youngest elected official in Kennett Square's history.

He previously served as the Junior Member of Council for Kennett Square from July 2023 to September 2024, where he actively participated in council and committee meetings, engaged with constituents, and spoke up with bold ideas for the community’s future.

Juan has built strong relationships with local, county, and state officials, and even represented Kennett Square internationally in a representative role in Mexico. Now advancing his studies in law, criminal justice, global health, and politics at West Chester University, Juan is focused on building a more inclusive, transparent, and fiscally responsible government—one that empowers residents of all backgrounds to shape the future of Kennett Square.
